There is a need for undertaking more product-based innovation in information technology, according to Telangana Minister for IT, KT Rama Rao. Speaking at the inauguration of the second annual developers’ conference organised by Pegasystems here on Sunday, the minister said India was recognised and respected all around the world for its programming skills, coding skills, etc. “But we are not content with that and we should not be. We are not just the back office function and have to move up the value chain,” he said.
