There is an accepted practice in media that we dont report suicides. Well, THAT certainly went out of the window this week with the death of Robin Williams. It is a tragic story and it deserved to be told. But it is no more tragic than the deaths of any other person. I believe we must change our thinking about reporting suicides. By doing so we will draw attention to the suicide epidemic - especially teenagers - and hopefully educate and outrage the public to do more to combat mental illness. RIP Robin Williams... and the thousands who have gone before and follow you.
