There is currently 4 months backlog of outstanding health assessments affecting some offshore visa applicants. While small overall, this backlog has had a particular impact on Student visa applications by Nepal nationals that have been lodged at New Delhi Post. The Department is working to reduce the backlog. Internal escalation procedures are in place that ensure that the most urgent cases are addressed as quickly as possible, based on the travel plans and commencement dates of the students affected. Overall, Student visa applications are a priority area for reducing the backlog. Department has organized pre Ehealth before lodging visas to overcome these issues...
