There is even a coded language used to diminish Africa that even Africans themselves are taught to use. Thus, the people of Africa are often spoken of as living in huts in villages as tribes governed by chiefs. This coded language is rarely used beyond the context of Africans and subdued peoples. For example, why are the Yoruba, the Oromo and the Xhosa tribes, whereas the Dutch and the Danes and the British nations? The power of definition is vital and has the capacity to diminish or enhance ones self-esteem. .
