There is hope for a new day in your marriage. After you have endured a difficult storm in your marriage, where the winds of strife and the waves of adversity stirred an avalanche of terrifying emotions in your heart; don’t be tempted to rest in the rubble of your broken heart. Don’t be tempted to rebuild your marriage on the wreckage of a sinking foundation. Don’t be tempted to leave your spouse buried under the rubble of self-condemnation, self-blame, self-pity and self-castigation. Don’t be tempted to dumb a truckload of blame on your spouse or yourself. Quickly pick yourself up, pull your spouse up and together gather all the remaining pieces of your marriage and move up to the Solid Rock and make a new beginning together. The survival mode is not permanent. Surviving the storm just marks the dawn of a new day for your marriage. Believe a better day is coming.
