There is no one way that works for everyone weight-loss solution. Our individual bodies are unique, and we will not all fuel our bodies the same way. I personally have PCOS and I am insulin resistant. What works best for me is a diet (lifestyle) that is primarily Healthy lean proteins (chicken, fish, shrimp, and lean red meat), fresh vegetables, healthy fats, and 1-2 servings of low glycemic/ high fiber fruits such as berries and apples. My lifestyle may not work for everyone, but I would encourage you to figure out what works for you. Make sure your eating plan works for what your body needs, dont fall into the fad diet trap. Our bodies use Carbohydrates and/or Fat for fuel. If you decide to go low carb, you will want to make sure you get enough healthy fat in. The most important thing that works for me with this is making sure I eat real foods. Processed foods are so full of chemicals and preservatives, not to mention very addictive.
