There is nothing as loyal as a dog or puppy. As sweet as that is, it is heartbreaking in many cases. These pictures were taken back in November when one of our great volunteers noticed a vacated home with a precious older puppy patiently waiting at the back door. Her owners had left her, but she believed in her heart they would return. Ginger, as you can see, was skin and bones, but mere hunger would not make her leave her masters door. SOME MASTER... Cold hearted jerks. Ginger has been in our care now for all these weeks. Farther down in the thread I will post an xray which shows she had an old injury(most likely run over) that was never treated. Our vet says it has already healed and the only impact will be arthritis earlier in life, but boy what a sad life. This is the same area of our county where we agreed to take a litter of puppies earlier this week with the stipulation that we fix the owners dogs, the parents of the pups, but they would not agree. Ginger is a classic example of what happens to the free puppy.... MAKES ME SICK.. Happy ending for Ginger.. She is now fixed and sleek and AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION.Will post current pictures further down as well.
