There probably want be any reference of Africans being slaved by the Indigenous people of this country, especially “The Five Civilized Tribes” presented in tonight’s PBS documentary, Many River’s to Cross” by Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. This is a story within itself and need to be told. Terry Ligon, author of The Oklahoma/Indian Territory Reader, constantly research and writes about the African struggles, slavery and Jim Crow within “The Five Civilized Tribes”. Thanks Babba Ligon.
