There was a post about a trash can wanted at Dixie and Valley Station road by the Tarc bus stop where kids from school and other would throw trash on ground because of no trash cans .Someone posted a link for us to click on and write to the link and ask for one .I got a phone call from a man from TARC and he was very nice and concerned, trying to explain as to why one wasnt there. He said he will talk to Mr Yates about it. He was explaining that they have to have a business close willing to empty the trash something about there isnt a garbage pick up like the city has to empty them. I ask him does that mean a couple business that sit by it need to agree to empty it if one is placed there. He said they are more then willing to place one there and was saying something like they cost 2000.00 to have them by or connected to the benches,or that might have been the cost of them together ,Im not sure. He says he understands how no one wants to see trash all on the ground and how bad it looks on area and also against TARC. I dont know what will become of it but he said he will talk to MR Yates that at time benches placed in areas someone else was in charge not Mr Yates. I live more in PRP then the area I wrote to them about because it also effects me cause I travel in area and dont like to see Dixie looking trashy either. I dont know if it would help for someone that goes to those meeting or who wrote the post earlier to talk to the area business by there to see if they would agree to empty the cans when they are cleaning up their own parking lot. Maybe they could let Tarc know or Mr Yates if the county purchases cans they would be willing to empty them. It seems like they would cause they are probably already picking up trash what blows over into it from that area.
