There was a time in the not so distance past, when people dressed up to attend parties. Such was the case in this shot, which was taken on New Years Eve in 1951. Several of my mothers classmates, all of which were teenagers, decided to have an informal party to ring in the New Year. They gathered at Wilma Becks house in Mooreville, Michigan, and had a blast, with food, snacks, soda pop, and Swing Music. Pictured in this shot are Doris Kanitz; Bill Evans; Joan Hillyard; and Chuck Hurbis. All of which, are members of the Milan High School Class of 1951. Shot on December 31, 1951. Camera used was an Argus C3, flash bulbs, and Kodachrome ASA 10 film. More than likely, the shutter speed was 1/60th @ f9.
