There were close to 30 kids (ranging from 6th-12th grade) in the band hall practicing after school today VS me until about 5:00pm! They were practicing everything from Essentials Elements to Region Music to class one solos. It was great, but somewhat overwhelming! I want to give them all help, but its impossible! Mr. Sours come listen to me. Mr. Sours, my instrument wont play. Mr. Sours, how does this rhythm go? Mr. Sours, Mr. Sours, Mr. Sours! All with a steady hum of instrument sounds as background noise. Wednesdays add 10 more students coming for music memory practice. Im so glad they all want to come get better, but It just drives me crazy that I cant give them all individual help! Its very disheartening seeing students walk out the door that came to get help, but never got it because I was busy helping others. Hows that cloning thing coming? Lol
