There will always be a warm and special place in my heart for all the wonderful group of young people that I was privileged to attend school with. Sometimes the memories are like a cool drink of water in a barren desert. The smell of mountain laurel and the feel of clover on my bare feet running through the fields. Sometimes just the simple things, a game of checkers or rook at my Uncle Virgils store. Life has taken me to the far corners of the earth but my memories of Smyth County and Rye Valley are there forever.
