Our friends from UNICEF Malaysia & Persatuan Pengasuh Berdaftar Malaysia are organizing a Flood Outreach Project to help our children and poor communities in disaster areas (including orang asli settlements). The situation in our flooded areas are much much worse than advertised. Entire villages, towns have been completely wiped out and more than 250,000 people have lost everything and been displaced. Volunteers to form part of the mobile activity center as well as help out with basic manpower-related stuff (packing, unloading, distributing etc). These teams will then be heading out to selected areas during weekends (or whenever free) to kindergartens, schools, child care centers, orang asli communities, etc. If you would like to volunteer or form a team (4-5 people per team) to be part of our 12 Mobile Activity Center Teams do sign up online at ppbm.org.
