Theres a large scar that covers my ear which Im sure the majority of you know about. Its cost me a lot having corrective surgerys to repair the scar damage and I planned on having another in the following months. The subconscious feeling that removing the scar will take away the problem has consumed me and taken up more of my time than I would have liked. Turns out the scar wasnt the problem. We have all had pain and gone through tough times in life that we wish we didnt have to. Sometimes a bigger person has to forgive, let go and not allow somebody else to control your mind frame or the way you feel about yourself. surprisingly I had the power to do so all along. Now when I look in the mirror I smile. What once represented ugliness and pain now shows me strength and bravery. While thinking back now, reflecting on the good and on the bad you really dont know your own strength until being strong is the only choice you have; and that should be celebrated not hidden and disguised. For the first time in a very long time I feel liberated. I feel beautiful inside as well as outside... and this thought I wanted to share.
