Theresa W Hamilton Today at 8:02pm TODAY OPEN DOOR CELEBRATED OUR 13th FOUNDERS DAY! Here is a little background about ODCC--- We started out 13 years ago holding services on Sunday Mornings in the banquet room at the Dillon Wedding Chapel. In less than 2 years, we had purchased land on Commerce Drive and then shortly began building and moved into what we now call our Fellowship Hall. Then within 3 years, we built and moved into our present Sanctuary and we have been in this building for 8 years. The first Sunday morning service, we had around 50 people in attendance. Since then we have grown to around 300-350 people at our Praise and Worship Services on Sunday Morning. At our Mid-Week Service on Wednesday nights we have between 100-150 people in attendance. Open Door does local and foreign missions. We have a Free Meal to anyone in Need in our Community on Thursday from 12:00pm-1:00pm where we feed every week from 150-200 people. And we also take 50 plates to the Needy in town every Thursday. We also participate in the Dillon County Relay for Life Team every year to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society. As a foreign Mssion we put together, individually and as a church, Shoe-Boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Open Door began by our Pastor Rick Rogers and his wife MaryBeth and their three children, following the Calling of God to build a church (people are the Church -- not the building). God layed it on their hearts to Open A Door that No Man Could Close, where EVERYONE was welcome. Our Church is a 100% Faith based Church! God is Our Provider and He alone is why our church family and friends at ODCC was Blessed to have celebrated 13 Years of sowing the seeds and spreading the Word Of God in Dillon, South Carolina. Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
