There’s a trio of cats in our care, each of them a case of curious temperament. Kit Kat, Sox, and Dwayne are – in their own unique ways – adorable, loving cats. Unlike many other cats, these three are loners who prefer their feline solitude and the affections of people. The sight of other cats is stressful and agitating for them. What does this mean for our trio? Well, it means its not possible for them to take up residence in our adoption gallery, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the opportunity to win an adopter’s affections and know the comfort and security of a safe and loving home. For this reason Kit Kat, Sox, and Dwayne are Cattitude Cats. What are Cattitude Cats? They’re special-case felines with an adoption program tailored specifically to their unique personalities. The Cattitude Cats program waives the adoption fee for felines who are cat aggressive, who play too rough, or who are particularly shy or scared in the shelter environment. For these reasons, the EHS created the Cattitude Cats program as an alternative to conventional adoption. All felines in Cattitude Cats program receive the following: - spay or neuter surgery; - a health check; - vaccinations; - and a microchip.
