They may be in a pound. But whether dogs are in a kill or no kill pound, the law requires that they be treated humanely---provided with real food and clean water. Save ALL members and volunteers went beyond feeding and providing medical care because we do not see POUND or SHELTER, we only see DOGS. We care about all dogs--- may they be in the streets, with an abusive owner, in a shelter or a pound. It doesnt matter if a dog is impounded, if we can give any help in any form to the dogs, we will. To us, caring for dogs is not selective. Even if a dog is about to be euthanized, we will do the same given the chance, even if it will hurt so much to say goodbye. A genuine animal lover does not join the animal welfare world to earn or MAKE money, or to be known, or for glory. A genuine animal lover simply loves a dog or cat during the precious time given to them to SHOW their love in whatever way. A pound may not be a shelter. But Save All volunteers chose-- and still choose--- to give as much as they can to these voiceless, helpless creatures of God. These volunteers went beyond giving food and medical care because these volunteers are real animal lovers : They made the dogs feel LOVED. Nothing in return. No compensation. No fees. No hidden agenda. We didnt even write international organizations for funds. We used hard-earned money for fare, for the dog food, for the meds, for everything we felt were needed by the dogs. Save ALL members banded together and donated all resources they have to be able to give the CAINTA POIUND DOGS the BEST that they deserve for six weeks. If this is called interfering with pound operations, then so be it. And for someone who makes a living out of dogs but criticises what the Save ALL members and volunteers did for the dogs FOR FREE as treating the pound as a shelter, then truly, can that person be called a true animal lover? A true animal lover, to Save ALL, focuses on doing what is best for the dogs. They go beyond the structure or the label. But works within the law. Volunteers need not be licensed to to do this. Their love alone is their permit.
