They sounded awesome as a 80s Funk band. A while back I showed a couple friends this early RHCP material who were RHCP fans. They regarded this as gay. It didnt come up to their expectations unfortunately. They were probably expecting another Scar Tissue or Under the Bridge. Personally, I found this band better with their first 3 studio albums, when they still incorporated that classic 80s Hip-Hop, Funk sound.
