Things Apple users think Apple invented with todays announcement of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and Watch: 1. Larger screens - People have been calling out for larger phones for over 2 years, and Apple is finally getting on board. 2. NFC (Near Field Communication) and mobile payments - Available on Android for almost 3 years. 3. Barometer sensor for elevation - Look back two years at the Nexus 4s specs. Yeah, theres a barometer in there and in countless Android phones since. 4. VoLTE (Voice over LTE) - Yeah, already an Android thing. 5. WiFi Calling - You guessed it, already been happening for quite a while... 6. Location sharing through messenger - Old news for Android users. 6. Smart Watches - Wearing one right now...Apples doesnt come out until next year. 7. A smart watch made of 316L noncorrosive stainless steel with a variety of watch bands - Moto 360 anyone? 8. A watch that takes voice commands - Basically every smart watch released this year 9. Wireless charging - Nexus 4 again 10. Wireless charging in a watch - Moto 360 again Things Apple did actually invent: 1. A smart watch for $350+ - I dont think thats been done before 2. A phone that can cost you almost $1,000 - People do realize that when they get a phone on contract, they pay around $20/month for 24 months, on top of the down payment, right? 3. A smart watch with more scratch resistant but ultimately more shatter-prone sapphire glass - Regular watch makers have been using it for a while, but they know how to protect it. The Apple Watch looks to be very vulnerable. I may update this with more ridiculous Apple claims later. But I hope all the iSheep out there get the picture. Youre getting old technology, brought to you by brilliant marketers who can make it look like the cutting edge. Welcome to 1984 people.
