Things I never had to do/did in Malaysia but do/have to do in China: 1) Check the weather forecast before I sleep and once more in the morning 2) Bring wet wipes wherever I go (TOILET HAS NO HOSE/PIPE dear god thats the biggest nightmare of all) 3) Arrive at least 10 mins before class and compete for seats (otherwise you wont be able to find a seat where you can see the lecturer, oh lovely punctual Chinese students) 4) Refresh on the availability of library books everyday as they are eternally borrowed. All 120 copies of them. (Really guys really?) 5) Study. 6) Doubt if I have any Chinese ancestry at all. (I have only come to realized how horrible my mandarin is, and how Im categorized as the clueless老外 who doesnt understand what locals here are talking about) 7) Not have to wake up 3 hours before class so I can drive to campus and get to class on time. Perks of living on campus! 8) Eat delicious street food every night. Im coming home rounder and fatter than ever guys. 9) CYCLE. I finally learned how to cycle!! 10) Travel everywhere in the city with such convenience, it puts Malaysias public transportation to the dumps of utmost shame.
