Things about c-sections that I wish Id known (or maybe am glad I didnt....) 1. What in the fresh hell is up with abdominal gas from surgery that gets all the way up to your neck? 2. When they say you might feel some pressure but it shouldnt be painful, what they mean is that youre going to feel every damn thing while youre basically beat up, pushed on, shaken and pulled...but it wont actually hurt so youll have this bizarre mind/body disconnect. Oh, and its freezing in the OR. 3. I should have, but didnt register the fact that nerves were getting cut. I have no feeling in half of my abdomen. I hear it may never return. Thats just fantastic. 4. They say you cant drive for at least two weeks. I call bullshit. I havent taken a percocet since I was in the hospital. Didnt even fill the prescription to bring home. Can you tell Im healed enough from the initial surgery to just be bitter now? LOL
