Things happen for a reason. This is what men and women every day tell themselves when they are unable to comprehend. For thousands of years civilizations of people would ask why. Why this? Why now? Why me? Those less wise ponder away their years in search of answers. It has been called by many names, righteous intervention, predestination, and fate being the most popular. It all boils down to the same, an unwillingness to accept loss and change, stemming from human natures very own tendency to resist change until all other options are exhausted. Those few who are wise enough see beyond fate. We question not why, but instead we accept, evolve, and and carry on, for the good of ourselves, and our people. There is no fate, there is no chosen path. There is only a long road, a highway of in fathomable distance, with many forks leading out. We are free to choose our paths, and to live out the consequences of our every action. So when you open your eyes in the morning, realize that you are capable of great influence. Do not be idle, do not stand by and let yourself be guided. Take the reigns, lead yourself down every path with confidence, knowing that you control your destiny with each step, and make every decision count, no matter how insignificant it seems.
