Things have been very subdued around the estate recently. The sudden and unexpected passing of Mr Finn, one of the cornerstones and legends of our small community, has had a dramatic effect on all of us. Although we have tried to carry on with our everyday activities, its all been done with a heavy heart and more than a few tears. Lord Jeffery has settled in very well. Hes like a different pony from the downtrodden fellow that arrived a few weeks ago, hes fitter, healthier, more confident and raring to go. Although hes quiet in demeanour, hes very intelligent, I hate to admit it but I suspect hes out witted me a few times recently without me really realising it. All in all hes very good company. Weve been on many a good walk together around and about, met a few starstruck fans, members of the adoring public and generally turned a few heads. We can occasionally be seen walking out in group with Odin, Callum, Jet and Dave (yes, you did read that right - a noble horse who goes by the name of Dave, what is the modern world coming to I ask?). One recent happy event was a letter from the guardian of young lord Percy Piglet. Youll remember that he caused quite a stir when he visited the estate as a new born babe back in early March this year. It seems that lord Percy is having a wonderful time in a small country place of his own. But boy has he grown! Hes certainly turning into a fine figure thatll make his family proud. It also appears that he has his own personal masseuse, which is something Ill have to speak to the staff here about...
