Things ignorant people say... This post based on an actual conversation. This is an abridged version... (If you want my husbands hour long account of this conversation please message him) DH: (handing check and ID to banker) I would like to deposit this into my account Banker: I am sorry, you have to take this to the bank it is written on DH: why cant I deposit it into my account here, this is why I actually have an account with you. (DH leaves, calls branch manager at branch we opened with... Banker calls back) Banker: the reason we cant deposit your check is that you are probably just going to deposit it and then withdraw it immediately. we dont want you to use us just for a check cashing place DH: thats exactly what I plan to do. I dont have extra money to just sit in my account. And I never signed a paper saying I had to.. End of story, we are now allowed to deposit our check. .. Note. I HATE banks. I hate dealing with banks. The only reason I have a bank acct... Get this.. IS TO CASH CHECKS!! These people should be thankful they are dealing with my hubby. Because I wouldnt have been so nice. ... Oh and it was a measly $50 local check. Is not like we are talking big numbers here!!!
