Things to know about getting to Terminal 1 at YYZ. If traveling to the Maritimes, there is no Starbucks once past security. Nor is there a quiet room to process your grief. Tims will have you wait in a line, then tell it is NOT a line, shuffle you over to another line and when you are blinking, open the first line and look bewildered. Theres a brewery a few feet later to cope. (No I didnt have to having vented at Tims and being a good Canadian, apologized profusely.) Getting to YYZ is blatantly confusing. The colors of the Terminal 1 and 3 signs actually change. Sometimes 1 is on orange, sometimes blue, like the 3 sign consistently appears. Am I the only one who knows this having gotten a TTC bus driver on her first day in the fall, who got lost??? If the screen on your phone is in anyway broken, the little wand thingy cant scan your boarding pass. But if you smile and remove your belt, they will forward you to the gate in trust. Suhana Marcand (Newsworld) on CBC is even cuter with glasses. I missed her in the Cook Islands so much, I practically tackled her at the CBC Christmas party...
