Thinking Out Loud: Organizing CONs Be Gone! ============== Thanks for all your wonderful feedback on todays Update. Okay, here we go ..... Pursuant to going public with a CBG Page, I would like to offer up an idea begging for suggestions, which may give that page its organizational drive and purpose. Heres some framework ideas, as they come to me: 1) Create CBG Chapters across Canada until Election Day 15. 2) The mission is CONs Be Gone! 3) Our universal goal and motto could be, Be Seen! BECAUSE: Every time an eligible non-voter sees people with CONs Be Gone! on their shirts, it will make an impression. 3) Each Chapter would be autonomous. 4) No limit on Chapters in any town since retirees can meet during the day, young people at night, etc. 4) Meetings at Timmies or other public, high traffic places. 5) Plan community social events such as road clean ups. (Be seen!) It would be VERY positive-looking for voters to see Green, Orange and Red working side by side in their communities. 6) Chapters can be merchandise distributors to cover the Election 15 Workbook distribution, Chapter Members getting the wholesale prices, (save almost HALF!). 7) Meeting agendas can discuss the coffee or hot political topics or the weather. 8) Suggest setting a standard day(s) and time. One is a quorum. 9) A great chance for Green, Orange and Red and discuss and AGREE to disagree! 10) Invite local Opposition Candidates to attend! 11) Maybe organize voting day transport for Seniors, etc. to .... GET THE VOTES OUT! (CONs will HATE this idea #11 with a passion.) 12) Chapters could reach out to their local veterans and try to coordinate with their strategic ABC campaign. 13) 14) etc, etc. ----------- OTHER ====== * This gives us a year to be HIGHLY visible. * Starting a CBG Chapter is EASY! Apply for one at Election15@outlook and the very next number will be assigned to you. * Ill start a web page listing you as Chapter, which gives you Official Distributor status. * Once enough Chapters are organized, I will start a Web Page listing you as CBG Chapter #59, (example number only. BE #1 LOL), and where you meet and when. The listing will be by Province, then Territories, say east to west, and then by Town Alphabetically. * Once we hit a predetermined number of Chapters Ill do a Press Release, welcoming any Canadian interested in attending a local CBG meeting. (PLEASE: Thoughts on dealing with possible disruptive trolls attending?) * Maybe best of all Ive laid out here .... what a great opportunity for FB friends, all party stripes, from same areas getting to meet in person too! * KISS me.
