Thirsty Thursday: Post Workout Smoothie Last week I posted about a pre-workout smoothie and now here is one for after the workout. After a workout you need to replenish some the nutrients that you have lost during the workout. Also your body metabolizes faster after you have kick started it with the workout, so with this smoothie you get the protein you need to build strong muscles along with the calories you need to keep your body going at an optimal rate after the workout. Enjoy this shake. Ingredients: 1 cup of almond milk (or milk of choice) 1/2 frozen banana cut into chunks 1 scoop vanilla protein powder Cinnamon Optional: Honey Chia Seeds Frozen Strawberries Blend all ingredients together and enjoy! I use the magic bullet to make my shakes since I can make individual portions without making a mess with my blender. I highly recommend one of these or something similar.
