This APM guy does not appreciate life in the villages. Ndi mtchona and he doesnt appreciate what a disaster means to a villager in Malawi. Today a whole village in Nsanje has been swept away by water and all he can do is to pretend to be concerned by declaring a mere state of disaster in a selected areas. Saamakhala serious mdala uyu. Bravo Dr Lazarus Chakwera for the appeal on State of Emergency! This is a national tragedy not only a disaster for the few areas affected. We need the entire country to rally behind rescue and recovery mission! Malawi does not have enough resources to respond to this, meaning that we need everyone to know that we are in a STATE OF EMERGENCY. To be alert at all times and stay far from disaster prone areas. We need the Army and Police to be on high alert and getting into those affected areas to save lives. We need them also to evacuate those in disaster-prone areas. We need all the disaster-related officers on high alert and monitoring the situation. We need information on radios and TVs on the cyclones yet to hit Malawi. This APM government is too casual and too childish!
