This Is Serious Mum. TISM were an Australian 7 piece rock group, that without a doubt was influenced by The Residents. In their beginning (1982 to be exact) they were a little more weird than the band they became before their departure from the music scene in 2004/2005. Although they were best known for their balaclavas, choosing to stay somewhat anonymous, they wore many bizarre outfits throughout their career, including the Residents style newspaper KKK outfits and costumes seemingly crafted from the bladders of boxed wine. They also went by pseudonyms such as, Ron Hitler-Barassi and Humphrey B. Flaubert. I found it especially hard to find a video that perfectly captures their high energy live shows, great sense of humor and their obvious influence by The Residents... This video falls short of all of those things, but... It does contain a small portion of each, and the song that secured their name as one of the greatest groups in the Australian music industry. Id also like to point out that despite what the description says, this is NOT a live version of this song, it is a studio version dubbed over a live performance. And now, Im sorry, but heres TISM.
