This Saturday 7th June will be the presentation to Paul & Lee Hines of a mobility vehicle. This fundraiser was set up to help purchase a modified wheelchair van for two children Luke & Freyja who are in wheelchairs full time. Luke & Freyja have a rare Epilepsy condition called Migratory Partial Epilepsy of Infancy (MPEI). Since the age of 3-4 months both Luke & Freyja began to have seizures & by the age of 6 months they were having over 100 seizures a day. Months were spent in hospital trying to gain control over the seizures. By the age of 3 years Lukes seizures were finally under control but the damage had been done as he acquired severe brain damage leaving him at the developmental age of 4 months. Freyja to this day is still having up to & over 20+ seizures a day. Freyja has also acquired severe brain damage but she appears to be progressing slightly.
