This Saturday Tornado Relief Work Meet in the Acts 2 Parking Lot at 8am to drive to Norman (Optimist Gym/Warehouse 1005 Lexington Ave. Norman, OK 73069) to be briefed and deployed at 9am to multiple work sites. All debris field-workers MUST BE 18 or older. Students 12 - 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian to serve and are limited to work in the warehouse sorting donations and helping storm survivor families receive needed items. Wear jeans, good shoes, and have work gloves. Chainsaws and heavy equipment are in great demand. (Please let me know on Friday if you can bring a tractor.) Lunch will be provided by a church coming in from Louisiana who will be serving authentic jambalaya. We will sign in and out of the Optimist Gym in order for the City of Moore to get credit/dollars in the clean-up efforts based on number of volunteer hours served and recorded. You are welcome to drive your own vehicle. I spent Thursday morning scouting the process and meeting the leaders of this important work helping those of our state in need.
