This Target commercial is ridiculous. It shows kids stepping on a machine to tell if they are naughty or nice. If they are nice, they get a Samsung Galaxy s5. Seriously? Why would anyone purchase an eight hundred dollar phone (even if it IS free with a 2 year contract) for a child??? The cost to replace it or repair it would be incredible. Not to mention that why does a child of that age need all that technology? Im all for letting kids of an appropriate age who must walk or ride public transportation, to have a phone appropriate for their age for emergency use and even for talking with friends after school. However, whatever happened to kids playing ball or skipping rope, riding bikes and putting on plays in the backyard? Seems all I see now are kids as young as four and five years old having touch screen phones with apps that they dont need and the ability to surf the net and text pictures to anyone with no parental supervision whatsoever. I just dont feel its appropriate. Just my thoughts.
