This Thanksgiving is a special one because I have never been as thankful in life as I am today... This year has been challenging. From a crazy situation with outside influences... Going through the motions of a divorce... Unexpectedly being laid off from work... Car troubles... Right down to our dog dying from a crazy accident. Ive had a lot of sleepless nights and days I would cry myself to sleep. Its been many times I wanted to honestly give up, and at times I did say the hell with it all, but I remember the words my grandmother instilled in me to always have faith in God and hell see you through. I started praying more and reading scripture. I started to recognize the issues in myself and the things I need to change to be a better person and woman. Sunday bishop Bronner talked about God speaking to you through the fire just as he did to Moses. It wasnt the bush that got Moses attention it was the fire! Sometimes we go through the fire because God wants your attention to ignite a change in you. I dont say all of this to tell my business, I share it because I am seriously a walking testimony and the glory of God needs to be shared. There are so many people who simply give up because they dont see things ever getting better in life. Im in Atlanta by myself with no family here, but I am determined to make it. I am most thankful for the people God has blessed me with here in GA. People who have SERIOUSLY gone above and beyond for me when they didnt have to. From a selfless roommate who said dont worry about giving me anything, just get back on your feet, to a homie who randomly calls like Lets go out to eat. Dinners on me. The storm is finally starting to settle... I am blessed. Dont give up, it gets better.
