This. This is why freedom of expression is so important. To censor yourself out of fear of a backlash, especially in this context, is one of the most disgusting offenses against freedom of expression, and a free, open society, that I can think of. Im actually offended that Hollywood would pull this movie just so that they dont offend North Korea. If people actually censored themselves instead of taking a stand regardless of how much it might offend others; we would never be introduced to the wonders of modern astronomy, evolutionary biology, etc. Not to mention, the civil rights movement and the gay rights movement would have long ago been halted so as not to offend peoples religious sensibilities. In the case of this movie, its North Koreas national pride thats being offended and I say great! Im not going ever going censor myself out of fear.
