This Thursday 11th September is the fortnightly Fixit Cafe from 10am-2pm at the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre on Bicentenary Lane, opposite Finbars. Fixit Cafe is a Dutch idea where knowledgeable people fix, or show you how to fix, something that would otherwise go in the landfill, or would be just too expensive to get fixed at commercial rates. We have people who enjoy repairing bicycles, sewing, wooden furniture, electronic equipment, petrol-powered machines, etc, etc - you name it weve tried to glue it, bolt it, cover it, or re-assemble it!! The last couple of Fixit Cafes have been fairly slow, not enough jobs to do, to the extent that we are discussing on what basis to continue, so wed love it if you would bring have something youd like fixed to keep us doing something we love, Please note the next Fixit is 9th October, after the school holidays, see you this Thursday, what are you bringing?
