This a political film I really enjoyed though I hated its point of view. The movie is a soft-core whitewash of the CIA-engineered coup against the Sukarno Regime in Indonesia. A million Communists perished, mostly Javanese peasants. I supported the Communists not out of fidelity to Marxism-Leninism; I have none. Rather I supported the Red out of support fro Francis Parker Yockeys strategy of using the Third World for our own purposes. The acting in the film from Mel Gibson, Sigourney Weaver & Linda Hunt is excellent.
