This animation shows surface weather maps courtesy of NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center through Tuesday evening. A cold front will sweep west to east across the Tri-State tonight bringing an end to the humid and cloudy conditions we have see today. The front may be able to develop a shower as it moves through, but otherwise the front passage will be dry. Behind the front, sprawling high pressure covering much of nation east of the Rockies builds in through Tuesday bring fall-like weather, just in time for astronomical fall to begin Monday at 10:22pm.
