This awesome display of historic aviation is not lost on the organizers of MILFORD ALIVE. The fact that the skies immediately above our town, each year, for too brief of a moment, are filled with the sights and sounds of our fathers and grandfathers flying machines, in their orignal military and civilian colors, is such a thrill and privilege. No matter what is happening during our event, for those brief monents, it is the spectical and the thunder of these magnificent machines alone that hold our attention. The pagentry of the pilots briefing, the engines coming to life, the taxi and then the take off are missed by those of us stuck on the ground in Milford, but this video may finally bring it home for all of us. This is a monumental task. Thank you Van Sant Historic Airfield, Bar N Dannie Eisenhauer and all the pilots who graced our skies again. Somehow we have to truly acknowledge the feat this is, the rarity of its occurrence, and the honor it brings to our small community when your planes roar overhead.
