This beautiful nursery with our Love Birds bedding collection was shared with us by a fan, as well as the touching story behind her nursery and the birth of her precious baby girl. I wanted to share our nursery and story. Baby Annie Caroline was diagnosed with spina bifida when she was at 18 weeks gestation. We were given the option of terminating the pregnancy, dealing with the concerns of spina bifida once she arrived, or pursuing fetal surgery to repair the hole in her spine prior to her delivery. Her chances of walking and having more advanced motor skills, along with a number of other issues were greater if we opted for surgery. I moved to Philadelphia for the spring--had surgery at 23 weeks and stayed until she was delivered at 37 weeks. My husband and dear friend put together this nursery using Carousel bedding while I was away from home and to welcome me and Annie back in June. It may not be the most sophisticated space in which youve had your products used, but it is an incredibly special space to us. Thank you for making such a gorgeous product and being part of our journey. Annie is 3 weeks old and doing incredibly well.
