This class should be huge. Not too expensive to build, and a great way to get into the sport--John Livsey, during the Hastings 500. Big John was commenting on the Pro Stock 600 class at the Hastings 500, and why there are so few entries in the class on the dirt. There are a TON of old 600 sleds lying around as raw material, both twins and triples. In fact, its one of the few classes where all 4 of the OEMs built very similar, and very competitive platforms over the years. Pro Stock 600 would seem to be an obvious entry level class for those drag racers that want to learn, and still go relatively fast, for a reasonable expenditure of money. Id guess that you could build a competitive Pro Stock 600 for a lot less than a new stock trail sled would cost. A competitive Pro Stock 600 can run in PS 600, Pro Mod 600, Possibly HM 600, and of course an Index Class of offered. Thats quite a few laps on a given weekend, right? So, why dont we see more sleds in Pro Stock 600? Should we be encourage new racers to give the class a shot? With all of the OEM 600 cc twins and triples out there, Id sure think a few more racers would want to build these sleds. Plus, the 600 cc class has always been the small block hot-rods from the factories. What do you Super Sled Nation? Do the 600 cc sleds have a future in Pro Stock racing on the grass and ice?
