This country was led into Independence by ONE MAN. His name is the Dr. the Right Hon. Sir Kennedy A. Simmonds. It is quite misleading and frankly wilful for intelligent people to suggest anything different. Our first National Hero Robert Bradshaw brought us out of colonialism. He fought to get the lands from the colonialists and for that he should always be exalted and remembered. However Sir Bradshaw died almost 6 years before we gained Independence. Sir Kennedy succeeded where he failed. There is no disrespect to Sir Bradshaw in being frank and stating the truth. So let us not use this 30th anniversary as another opportunity to try and diminish the fact that our country was taken into Independence by Sir Kennedy and we should not waiver of be hesistant in giving him his just do.
