This cretin of a defendant on After the First 48 last night was a true piece of ... er, work. He (and two others charged but not yet tried) kidnapped a friend, beat her for hours, poured gas on her and set her afire, certain she would die. ... only she awoke from a coma three months later. Her right hand was amputated, she has burn scars all over her body - but she got well enough to testify against him and fingered him. He testified in his own defense (and the only defense witness), said he had an alibi (he was with his girlfriend - but she refused to testify to that), and blamed it on his idiot buddy named Crash. Jury didnt buy it, convicted him on every count, and gave him 60 years. In his statement before the court, he apologized to her with ... I want to tell Melissa sorry. I do deserve to go to prison. Im sorry for what happened. And then he appealed his conviction. Just ... wow.
