This evening I went to the Lonestar College Kingwood Chambe Singers concert. Dr. Miller has been conducting that ensemble for some time now and every year I hear it Im impressed. The balance between the parts and the richness of the textures made for a very professional concert. There was a really fun element to the concert when the chamber ensemble performed their opener Baba Yetu and their closer Chile Con Carne. Both pieces couldnt have been more different but they both appealed to my listening palate. If you get a chance to see one the music chamber concerts this season I would highly suggest bringing your family and friends, Im sure they would love it.
