This evenings cultural entry is the Act 3 Bedroom Pas de Deux from Prokofieffs Romeo and Juliet, as performed by the still almost unbelievably beautiful Fonteyn and Nureyev. This is not the much more renowned Act 2 Balcony Scene, which is obviously gorgeous and ought to be taken in too - for the music as well as for the dancing. No, this passage is rather more subtle than its better known counterpart.
