This fft came to mind as I was working on something...it was taken from a topic I used at a service.. What Do You Do When Your Promise Dies? Have you ever been given a promise that was full of potential life, but once the promise seems to be coming to pass it ends up dying? Take a moment to recall to your mind what that promise was... Was it a promise of life for a loved one that ended up dying? Was it a dream, a goal, a business venture, or a relationship that died? How did you deal with it or are you still dealing with it now? The death of someone or something is one of the toughest realities to cope with because It leaves us with so many questions as to Why it had to happen at a particular moment in life. One other reason that makes Death so hard to deal with is we never really get an answer to the question of Why. In John chapter 11 it records the death of two sisters brother named Lazarus. These sisters sent word to his best friend named Jesus that his friend was sick, but Jesus sent them a Promise back that said: John 11:4 (KJV) This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. Then ten verses later in John 11:14 Jesus says unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. So, what do you do when the man who cannot lie and the Son of man who cannot repent makes you a promise, but the promise he makes to you dies on you? I recommend you to Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. (6) In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. When it seems that your promise has died, still trust him. Why? Because John 11:25-26 Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life:he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? So, why not trust in the only man that can perform a resurrection to a seemingly dead promise or situation? Will you trust him though you dont always understand what he is doing?
