This game blows me away on so many levels. I cant even believe humans have accomplished something like this in gaming this early in my lifetime. Add to that the fact that most of the initial creation was done by four friends and it really does enter the realm of magical. Theyve created a TO SCALE(!!!!!!!) Galaxy that is seamlessly explorable... It truly seems too amazing to be true until you understand how they pull it off using procedural math to allow everything to exist as a series of math problems for the system to solve then apply the solutions to visual coding. A mathematic equasion for everything down to blades of grass on mountains on (TO SCALE!!!) Planets so that all your system has to physically load is your visible surroundings. As the designers put it, the scale is so large that you could start 100000 players on foot on the same planet and theyd still be unlikely to see each other and there are potentially billions of planets... Everyone starts randomly at an edge of the galaxy. The goal is to explore and make your own path of discovery in your own way. (Almost any way you want) if this interests any of you I reccomend any of the interviews floating around YouTube also. The story of the designers and the games creation so far is really wonderful.
