This has been a long time coming!!! OAHU! REGISTER TO RECALL HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL OAHU ACTION ALERT: REGISTER TO RECALL HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL! ARE YOU TIRED OF OUR COUNCIL FAILING TO REPRESENT US TO THE POINT OF TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF OUR RIGHTS, LAND AND HEALTH? Are you tired of watching hundreds upon thousands of citizens take time off of work and out of their lives to come and testify to protect Hawaii from developers, cultural and historical degradation, and GMO corporations?! Enough is ENOUGH. We have conferred with the leaders of many groups working toward a sustainable Hawaii that doesn’t PAVE OVER OUR PRIME AGRICULTURAL LAND TO DEVELOP WHEN WE ARE IMPORTING 90% OF OUR FOOD. Today ANOTHER 9-0 vote to pave over our prime agriculture land and develop 12,000 more houses in the already thoroughly congested Westside (voted worst traffic in the nation recently) was the LAST STRAW! We are FINISHED WITH THE HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL, THEY ARE WORTHLESS. WE ARE PREPARING WITH NUMEROUS OAHU ORGANIZATIONS TO RECALL THE ENTIRE HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL in collaboration with groups across Oahu – these Councilmembers almost NEVER vote the way of the people and almost ALWAYS VOTE IN FAVOR OF THE CORPORATIONS AND LOBBYISTS WHO FUND THEIR CAMPAIGNS. THEY DO NOT WORK FOR US. OUR CITY COUNCIL IS CURRENTLY USELESS UNLESS YOU ARE A CORPORATION OR REPRESENTING CORPORATE INTERESTS. These are the same human beings who SLIPPED OUT GMO LABELING AND THE REPEAL OF THE PLDC (Our government selling our public lands to corporations without any kind of public vote or decision making) that ALL THE OTHER ISLANDS voted in favor of out of the statewide association of counties package (HSAC). They tried to SELL HALEIWA BEACH PARK. They blocked GMO labeling when ALL OTHER HAWAII COUNTIES PASSED GMO LABELING TWO YEARS IN A ROW. There is over $45,000 OF GMO MONEY IN THE HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL. They have proven REPEATEDLY that they will bend over backwards to ruin Oahu for any developer or corporation or union or toxic GMO chemical company who generously gives to their campaigns AND ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. GET READY TO RECALL!!! We need to make sure EVERYONE IS REGISTERED TO VOTE AND MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ADDRESS AND VOTER INFORMATION IS UP TO DATE SO YOUR SIGNATURE WILL COUNT WHEN WE SIGN TO RECALL THEM. Your signature on any legal petition will also be more valuable.
