This has been a long time coming. We have been really praying and talking and inventing and praying some more to get this off on the right footing, so to speak. I have some wonderful people in my corner that want to see this come to fruition as much as (maybe more!) than I. Lacy Lukens Hagedorn Designs created this logo for us and is an administrator on this FB page. Larry Lukens has been my rock and my motivator. I get the privilege of bouncing ideas off of Larry on a regular basis! Mahlon Hawk has heard my story and has been amazingly supportive. I had the notion that I needed to be this perfect person to be able to do this, but I have been told that being imperfect is a great way for me to get closer to God and to let God do his work with me and through me. So this is what I have decided to do! Today I am asking my FB friends to send prayers and positive thoughts my way as I have now narrowed the main theme of this show down. Larry and I have discussed just making this an inspirational, Christian show with a few paintings of Jesus, etc. But that is already being done. I even question the effectiveness of painting Jesus or The Last Supper or The Crucifiction. This is not the message God wants me to deliver. I kind of feel like Noah. Im being asked to perform in front of thousands of people with a single message and I dont know where to begin. Im relying on spiritual inspiration and several epiphanies to make this theme congeal into an all-encompassing message. I believe God wants us to take a step back and look around us. Not just within our little congregations, but beyond our churches. Stop preaching to the choir. Just stop preaching....period. God wants all of us to get centered again. Think.... Here is the mission and the message I am assigned... If people realized that Heaven is a REAL place...not just invisible spirits and angels sitting on clouds....a REAL place with loved ones that are watching us and caring for us in heaven with God and Jesus. A REAL place with beautiful gardens and homes and family and pets. A REAL place where happiness abounds! If we knew that Heaven knows and sees what is going on here on Earth much more intimately than we perceive, just how would our lives change? Something to think about, right? So now you know my task. I have no idea how to convey this with my art in 30 minutes on stage. But I am sure the answer will come! Stay tuned..... Randall
