This has been a very interesting week.....busy with work, but filled with much reflecting on life in general after spending some time in Childrens Mercy Hospital in KC this weekend. My friend visited/checked on a little girl from her church family who survived a horrible car accident that took the lives of both her parents and two college kids. This 12 year old and her 14 year old brother survived, but were hospitalized in two different cities. The Childrens Mercy Hospital is a fantastic place filled with amazing folks doing some of the most important, and difficult jobs around. Its filled with happy, bright, colorful scenes from floor to ceiling in a successful attempt to make the place less scary. Unfortunately, we saw a lot of kids, and parents, all tired and all putting on brave faces. If you ever feel like you want to make a difference in the lives of kids....think about donating to Childrens Mercy Hospital.....theyre all about healing kids and saving lives. Ü
