This has been an eventful weekend. I drove back to Clairton to - TopicsExpress

This has been an eventful weekend. I drove back to Clairton to preach on Sunday, and woke up with a terrible headache. I went to church to get things ready, but kept feeling worse and worse. I went to a church members house nearby, and after 15-20 minutes I realized that I was spiraling downward. By the time that we got to the ER my speech was slowed and slightly slurred. The CT scan and blood work came back clear. The doctor decided to do a spinal tap, but hit a nerve during the procedure and I blacked out and woke up with a heart monitor and oxygen. The second spinal tap was fine and confirmed that I have meningitis. Right now they believe it is viral meningitis and they have already ruled out all of the strains that are highly contagious. I will be in the hospital until Wednesday for sure - just to be 100% certain that this is not bacterial which would be much worse. If youve been around me you should be fine. The infectious disease doctor said that it is unlikely anyone else would get meningitis from me, but that I might have spread the virus. Thank you all for the prayers and visits. Jefferson hospital is phenomenal. Everyone is very kind and helpful and ive understood everyone who has spoken with me. Ive only needed morphine once for the pain. I am feeling much better already.
